The mostly self penned and produced "Double Fun" album makes US #45 in April 1978 and once again showcases Palmers blue eyed soul voice. In June, "Every Kinda People" from the album makes US #16, Palmers biggest hit to date. It also gives him his first UK chart single hitting #53. Palmer also undertakes his first solo European tour that September on the back of this album.
